Server Type: IMAP
Incoming Server Name (requires secure connection/SSL): (Your UP WebMail IMAP Server)
Incoming server/IMAP port: 993
User Name: (Your UP WebMail Username)
Password: (Your UP WebMail Password)
Return Address: (Your UP WebMail Email Address)
Outgoing (SMTP) Server Name (requires authentication and secure connection/SSL): smtpauth.up.edu.ph
Outgoing (SMTP) Server port: 465

Specific IMAP Mail Client Configuration

Microsoft Outlook:

Tools -> Accounts -> Mail
  (Select your UP Webmail account profile)
  (Click Add -> Mail... if you don't have a profile)
     Properties ->
       General ->
         Name: <Your name>
         E-mail address: <Your UP Webmail email address>
       Servers ->
         Server Information ->
           My incoming mail server is a "IMAP" server
           (If the above setting is not set to "IMAP", you must create a new account)
           Incoming mail (IMAP): <Your UP Webmail IMAP Server>
           Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtpauth.up.edu.ph
         Incoming Mail Server ->
           Account name: <Your UP Webmail Username>
           (DO NOT check) Log on using Secure Password Authentication
         Outgoing Mail Server ->
           (check) My server requires authentication
             Settings ->
               (check) Use same settings as my incoming mail server
       Advanced ->
         Outgoing mail (SMTP): 465
         (check) This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
         Incoming mail (IMAP): 993
         (check) This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
       IMAP ->
         Root folder path: "INBOX." (don't forget the trailing period)

Mozilla (Mail & Newsgroup Client)

Edit->Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings
  Add Account...
    Email account [Next]
    Your Name: <Your name>
    Email address: <Your UP Webmail Email Address> [Next]
    Incoming server type: IMAP
    Incoming Server: <Your UP Webmail IMAP Server> [Next]
    Incoming User Name: <Your UP Webmail Username> [Next]
    Account Name: <Name for this email account setting> [Next]
    [Finish]

    - Server Type: IMAP Mail Server (set at settings creation)

    - (check) Use secure connection (SSL)
    - (uncheck) User secure authentication
  Outgoing Server (SMTP)
    - Server Name: smtpauth.up.edu.ph
    - Port: 465

    - Use secure connection: SSL
